    Synopsis

    I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance."

    I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.

    Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.
    I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.

    At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

    I shouldn’t want her.

    But I do.

    Eu sou o defesa da NHL Lance Romero, apelidado "Romance".

    Eu sou famoso por festas e pelos excessos. Eu tenho a maior número de penalidades por minuto  na liga. Eu entro na maioria das brigas. Eu pego o maior número de pancadas. Eu sou um jogador dentro e fora do gelo. Eu sou o que as mulheres sem inibições querem.

    Não porque eu goste da notoriedade, mas porque eu não sei como ser de outra maneira.

    Tenho segredos. Eu compartilhei com a pessoa errada  e ela os usou contra mim. Às vezes ela ainda me usa. Eu deveria cortar os laços. Mas ela torna tudo difícil, porque ela é o tipo de mal que eu mereço.

    Pelo menos era o que eu acreditava até que alguém do meu passado fica preso no meu presente. Ela é todas as coisas boas deste mundo juntas. Ela ilumina minha escuridão.

    Eu não deveria querer ela.

    Mas eu quero.

    Eu deveria deixá-la sozinha.

    Mas eu não vou.

    Lance é o tipo do badboy, playboy,jogador que só pensa em farra e mulheres. Depois de um caso complicado com sua ex treinadora Tash, ele chega ao fundo do poço. Com um passado triste e trágico, ele se culpa por tudo o que de ruim aconteceu em sua vida e se acha merecedor das piores coisas.  Até que seu passado colide com seu presente, ao encontrar Poppy, uma massagista encarregada de aliviar suas dores depois de uma briga pesada em que se mete. O que ele nem imagina é que ele foi o primeiro crush da vida de Poppy e que ela já cruzou seu caminho mais de uma vez. Seria o destino querendo uni-los?

    Poppy é uma garota normal que luta para desempenhar bem sua profissão e que vê seu mundo virar de cabeça para baixo depois que Lance a chama para um encontro. O que achei mais fantástico nela é que além de transformar a vida de Lance, mostrando para ele como é ser amado e ter alguém cuidando dele, ela também soube se impor no momento da intriga do livro. Foi forte e decidida e soube o momento certo de lutar pelo que queria e abrir seu coração a esse amor.

    O livro traz os outros casais da série também mostrando como suas vidas estão agora e de quebra ajudando Lance a  encontrar o caminho certo a seguir. Isso trouxe muita agilidade e dinâmica à trama, pois muitas coisas aconteciam initerruptamente sem me dar chance de respirar. Fiquei presa ao livro e só conseguir largar quando acabou.

    Já conhecia esta escritora, mas ainda não tinha lido nenhum livro desta série. Adorei muito e vou achar um tempo para ler os anteriores. 
    Nesse ela começou já me deixando tensa com o envolvimento de Lance e Tash que é bem tóxico diga-se de passagem . Mesmo sendo muito agressivo, Lance se mostra um rapaz carente de atenção e carinho  e a capa foi muito bem escolhida. Simplesmente não consigo ver outro rapaz que represente melhor do que este com esse olhar fatal e esse jeito todo bad de tirar a camisa.....

    O livro é muito bem escrito com uma trama que não exagera em nada, nem no drama nem no romance  nem no suspense da resolução. O desfecho para mim foi surpreendente pois achei que aconteceria de outra forma completamente diferente. Amei !!!!!

    Lance is the kind of badboy, playboy, player who only thinks of binge and women. After a complicated affair with his ex coach Tash, he reaches the bottom of the pit. With a sad and tragic past, he blames himself for all that bad things happened in his life and thinks he deserves the worst things. Until his past collides with his present, upon finding Poppy, a massage therapist in charge of easing his pain after a heavy fight he got into. What he does not realize is that he was the first crush of Poppy's life and that she has already crossed her path more than once. Was it destiny to unite them?

    Poppy is a normal girl who struggles to perform her profession well and who sees her world turn upside down after Lance calls her for a date. What I found most amazing about her is that in addition to transforming Lance's life, showing him what it's like to be loved and having someone take care of him, she also knew how to impose herself at the time of the intrigue of the book.     She was strong and determined and knew the right moment to fight for what she wanted and to open her heart to  love.

    The book brings the other couples of the series also showing how their lives are now and breaking helping Lance find the right path to follow. This brought a lot of agility and dynamics to the plot, because many things happened uninterruptedly without giving me a chance to breathe.     I was stuck in the book and only managed to quit when it was over.
    I already knew this writer, but I had not read any books in this series yet. I loved it a lot and I'll find time to read the previous ones.In that she started already making me tense with the involvement of Lance and Tash that is very toxic, by the way. Although very aggressive, Lance shows himself to be a boy lacking in attention and affection and the cover was very well chosen. I just can not see another guy who represents better than this one with that fatal look and that bad way to take off his shirt .....

    The book is very well written with a plot that does not exaggerate in anything, neither in the drama nor in the romance nor in the suspense of the resolution.  Now I stop for a note to the writer...

    The outcome for me was surprising because I thought it would happen in a completely different way. Loved it !!!!!Highly recommended
