Title: Honey Bee
Author: Heather Shere
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 23, 2017
Love can be as sweet as honey, or it can sting like a bee.
Bo Smith knows that if you go looking for honey, you get stung, so he has his life just how he wants it. No hassles, no complications, and no heartache. As the handsome high school athletics coach, he would be the pick of the small town he grew up in...if he was into commitment, or dating...or even calling back. But he has sworn off anything resembling a future and his mind isn't going to change.
Then his eyes lock on the new girl in town...She’s beautiful, intelligent, and full of surprises. Just the kind of complication he has been avoiding.
Sophia Brown is looking for the sweet simple life. She has it all planned out. Getting used to life alone isn't easy, but she has her garden, her bees, and her dog Triton to tend to. It's the fresh start she's been dreaming of, surrounded by nothing but open fields to stare at all day.
Nothing at all...unless you count the high school football team and their distractingly handsome coach, practicing right across the street.
But when sparks fly, Bo must choose between the sting of his past or the sweetness of the future.
He may just find that honey tastes good on everything.
Review
"Sometimes life just happens, and you deal with it "And life happened to Sophia and Bo and each one reacted in a different way.
The book begins with Sophia newly arrived in town with her dog Triton after the death of her mother full of plans and dreams before she died.
One morning, she is trying to take her dog to the vet because he does not help and is too heavy ,she asks a group of kids to train in a field near his house to help her. Three of them come to help, but they can not get Triton out of the place and that's where the boys hot coach comes up.
"I swear I can hear that song from the movie Top Gun playing. Is he walking in slow motion?"
Well, the dude in question is Bo who goes to her aid even against his will and indicates to her the veterinary clinic of the city. Arriving there, Sophia discovers that although Bo has never set foot there, so drawing the attention of Judy and Dave, respectively his sister and brother-in-law and owners of the place.
From then on, a strong friendship arises between Judy and Sophia and also begins the journey of Bo towards overcoming a strong trauma of the past that made him runs away from relationships and not wanting to get close to animals.
"I think you could help him discover all the things he denies himself."
I do not even have to say after this quote that there was also a very strong attraction between Sophia and Bo. The couple are slowly approaching and Triton falls in love with Bo who does not even want to know about having the dog close to him, which made Sophia and Judy sad.
She is an expert on honey, does everything from people and pet's food to soap.
"I'd like to put that shit on everything."
She is a determined, strong and dreamy girl who dives headlong into her mother's dream of having a garden and raising the bees and does not try to deny herself the chance to live this passion for Bo, he unlike her always denies dog 's affection for him and whenever he can he acts like a perfect idiot.
The book is very funny, full of hot scenes and cute cute moments with little sluts. Highlight here for a certain scene involving honey .... Ui .... and another super romantic scene involving a puppy ..... sighs. .... Outside the nicknames they use with each other ... He calls her all the time from Honey Bee and she calls him Honey Bear.
Here I make a strategic stop to send a message to the writer:
Dear Heather Shere,
Please, now I'm all smeared and because of you, I urgently need a book for Lawrence. If you can ,send him to me urgently so I can sweeten his life with a lot of honey. He deserves and me too.Thanks. You're welcome.Myl
The only thing I did not like very much was the cover that was kind of tacky, which for me does not attract the reader even though the boy is beautiful, the pose did not please me, I just picked up the book because of the synopsis and the title.
4/5 stars.
Kisses, Myl
