Estou pensando em como falar deste livro sem ficar para parecendo que ele é apenas mais livro sobre segundas chances e superação, porque ele é muito mais do que isso. O livro conta a história de Zelda e Beckett ,ambos marcados por tragédias no passado e que se fecharam par o mundo. Eles acreditam que não merecem uma segunda chance e que não existe felicidade para eles.

Narrado em primeira pessoa alternadamente por cada um deles, a escritora vai mostrando como uma simples resposta, um simples Sim, uma simples decisão pode desencadear toda uma seira de acontecimentos sejam eles ruins ou bons.

Zelda está tentando publicar sua Graphic Novel, porem foi rejeitada pelas editoras onde apresentou seu trabalho, apenas uma deu a ela uma chance de mudar alguns detalhes para deixar a história com MAIS CORAÇÃO. Zelda não entende o que isso quer dizer e não tem mais muito dinheiro para permanecer em Nova York e descobrir.

Beckett está tentando seguir em frente com sua vida depois de cumprir pena por 2 anos, ele hoje está sob condicional e trabalha muito para conseguir pagar as contas no fim do mês. Ele é um rapaz dedicado que aceita sua punição e só quer sobreviver.

Quando estas duas almas perdidas se encontram , eles não imaginam como o curso de seus caminhos será transformado para sempre.

Esta é primeiro livro que leio desta escritora e já virei fã de sua escrita. Ela consegue transmitir muito bem as angustias que assombram os personagens e não transformou a história deles em algo baseado em atração fisica fulminante capaz de consertar todos os problemas de forma heróica. Não, ela aos poucos mostra os caminhos a seguir, as batalhas que eles precisam enfrentar e como podem curar um o coração do outro. Passo a passo, fui me envolvendo na história e ficando apreensiva pelo que ia acontecer com eles.

O círculo de amizades que eles criaram envolta de si é muito bom e trouxe tanto leveza, humor como um toque de dramaticidade a mais. Pena que não tive no final um vislumbre do aconteceu com alguns amigos importantes na vida deles. Bem que a escritora poderia fazer mais alguns livros contando um pouco mais sobre eles.

Adorei demais a leitura e super recomendo.

I'm thinking of how to talk about this book without getting to look like it's just one more book about second chances and overcoming because it's so much more than this. The book tells the story of Zelda and Beckett, both marked by tragedies in the past and who have closed themselves to the world. They believe they do not deserve a second chance and that there is no happiness for them.

Narrated in the first person alternately by each of them, the writer shows how a simple answer, a simple Yes, a simple decision can trigger a whole series of events are they bad or good.

Zelda is trying to publish her Graphic Novel, but was rejected by the publishers where she presented her work, only one gave her a chance to change some details to make a story with HEART. Zelda does not understand what that means and she does not have much more money to stay in New York and find out.

Beckett is trying to move on with his life after serving his sentence for two years, he is currently on parole and works hard to get the bills due at the end of the month. He is a dedicated boy who accepts his punishment and just wants to survive.

When these two lost souls meet, they can not imagine how the course of their ways will be changed forever.

This is the first book I read from this writer and I become a fan of her writing. She succeeds in conveying the anxieties that haunt the characters very well and has not turned their story into something based on a sudden physical attraction that can fix all problems heroically. No, she slowly shows the paths to follow, the battles they have to face, and how they can heal one another's heart. Step by step, I became involved in the story and becoming apprehensive about what was going to happen to them.

The circle of friendships that they created surrounded themselves is great and brought as much lightness, humor as a touch of drama for this history. Too bad I did not have at the end a glimpse of what happened to some important friends in their lives. Well the writer could do a few more books telling a little more about them.

I loved too much this reading , the cover and the title . super recommend it.
