Synopsis

Sinopse
O verão antes de Caleb e Tessa entrarem no ensino médio, a amizade floresceu e se transformou em um relacionamento. . . e seus dias de esportes lúdicos estão chegando ao fim. Tessa é uma garota comum de 14 anos de idade que gosta muito de esportes em equipe, ela acabou de vencer uma corrida com suas amigas que estão esperançosas em entrar para o time do Ensino Médio. Ela faz de tudo para ter atenção dos pais que estão focados na carreira política da mãe dela .

Caleb tambem é um garoto normal de 14 anos que gosta de seguir as tradições da família. Seu pai jogou football, seu irmão mais velho Charle joga e ele está seguindo os passos dos dois. Ele tem seu irmão como grande conselheiro e exemplo e ao ensinar Tessa a jogar flag football nunca imaginou que estaria estimulando a amiga a seguir seus passos e provocando uma verdadeira revolução . Afinal football é um esporte duro e para meninos,não é mesmo?

Narrado em primeira pessoa alternando Tessa e Caleb, o escritor apresenta as dúvidas próprias da adolescência, a necessidade de reconhecimento e auto-afirmação e a descoberta do amor. Com uma linguagem simples e direta com capítulos curtos , ele conduz a trama sobre preconceito e libertação de padrões de uma forma leve e agradável com um romance doce de pano de fundo até tudo chegar a um final bastante interessante e motivador.

A primeira coisa que me atraiu para o livro foi a capa que ao meu ver transmite bem essa atmosfera de desafio e luta feminina ,pois o desafio de Tessa é provar que football pode sim ser um esporte para garotas .

Não favoritei porque como não entendo nada sobre football em alguns capítulos fiquei meio perdida tamanho os detalhes apresentados sobre o jogo deixando a leitura um pouco mais lenta.

Tessa is a 14-year-old average girl who enjoys team sports, she has just won a race with her best friends who are hoping to join the high school team. She does everything to get attention from parents who are focused on her mother's political career. Caleb is also a normal 14-year-old boy who likes to follow family traditions. His father played football, his older brother Charles plays and he is following in their footsteps. He has his brother as a great counselor and example and in teaching Tessa to play flag football he never imagined that he would be encouraging her friend to follow in his footsteps and provoke a real revolution. Football is a tough sport only for boys, is not it? Big mistake ..... Narrated in the first person alternating Tessa and Caleb, the writer presents the doubts proper to adolescence, the need for recognition and self-affirmation and the discovery of love. With simple, straightforward language with short chapters, he weaves the plot on prejudice and pattern release in a light and pleasant way with a sweet backdrop storyline until it all comes to a very interesting and motivating ending. The first thing that attracted me to the book was the cover that in my view conveys this atmosphere of feminine challenge and struggle , because the challenge of Tessa is to prove that football can be a sport for girls. I don't favorite it because I do not understand anything about football and in some chapters I was a bit lost in the details presented about the game, leaving the reading a little slower.
