Synopsis
My best
friend is married.
Everyone I know is married. It doesn’t bother me. I like my life the way it is.
Since I’m single though, when my best friend and her husband finally decide to go on their dream honeymoon, she asks me to watch their three-year-old son.
Of course I say yes.
What my best friend neglects to tell me is that I won’t be babysitting alone.
Feeling Max might be too much for me to handle, her husband asks his only single friend to help.
Nick Carrington and I have met a couple of dozen times. I’ve never really given him a second thought—other than to say he’s kind of a jerk. Out loud. So he can hear. Sure, he’s tall, dark, and handsome. And yes, he has the best ass I’ve ever seen, and I mean ever seen quite literally. You see he mooned me at last year’s Fourth of July barbecue because, like I said, he’s a jerk.
He always has to be the life of the party.
He’s also arrogant.
Imposing.
Rich.
And a playboy.
I’d even go as far as to say he’s a manwhore.
Yet somehow before I know it, this manwhore and I are co-parenting. Living under the same roof. Eating meals together and yes, talking.
Don’t look at me like that—it’s not like I had a choice. Even though I knew every minute would be hell, I had to say yes.
But after two weeks what I didn’t expect is that I’d been wrong about him.
That under his smart-ass exterior, he’s quite charming.
That his arrogance is actually confidence.
And that the sight of his naked body would do really bad things to me.
So yes, I’ve misjudged him. And yes, I like him. Really like him. Although there are times I still think he’s a jerk…I now think he’s a sexy jerk.
And I want more of him.
The question is—does he want more of me?

O que minha melhor amiga esqueceu de me dizer é que eu não vou ser babá sozinha.
Cuidar de Max pode ser demais para mim, seu marido pede a seu único amigo para ajudar.
Nick Carrington e eu nos conhecemos. Eu nunca dei a ele um segundo pensamento - senão dizer que ele é um tipico idiota. Digo Alto. Então ele pode ouvir. Claro, ele é alto, escuro e bonito. E sim, ele tem a melhor bunda que eu já vi, e quero dizer que já vi bastante literalmente.
Ele sempre considera a vida uma festa.
Ele também é arrogante.
Imponente.
Rico.
E um playboy.
Eu até chegaria a dizer que ele é um galinha.
No entanto, de alguma forma antes que eu saiba, esse homem e eu estamos juntos. Vivendo sob o mesmo teto. Comendo refeições juntos e sim, conversando muito.
Não me olhe assim - não é como se eu tivesse uma escolha. Mesmo sabendo que a cada minuto seria um inferno, eu tinha que dizer sim.
Mas depois de duas semanas o que eu não esperava é que eu estivesse errada sobre ele.
Que sob seu exterior idiota, ele é bastante charmoso.
Que sua arrogância é realmente confiança.
E que a visão de seu corpo nu faria coisas realmente ruins para mim.
Então sim, eu o julguei mal. E sim, eu gosto dele. Realmente gosto dele. Embora haja momentos em que ainda acho que ele é um idiota ... Agora acho que ele é um idiota sexy.
E eu quero mais dele.
A questão é: ele quer mais de mim?

Com esta sinopse gigante , me sobrou pouco
para falar sem dar spoiler, mas o que posso dizer é que Nick e Tess me
surpreenderam porque sob essa fachada de casal que iria implicar um com o outro
o tempo todo,me deparei com uma trama de suspense e cheia de cenas sexy.
Tess está tentando recomeçar a vida depois
da traição de seu namorado francês. Ela é do tipo de garota que julga antes de
conhecer e foi assim que ela fez a imagem de Nick em sua cabeça, um cara
arrogante e mulherengo.
Só que quando ela começa a conhecer o cara
melhor,ela descobre que o idiota miliionário é na verdade um cara gentil e
sofrido que cuida com muito carinho do
afilhado para que os amigos possam finalmente viver sua lua-de-mel.
Aos poucos, os cuidados com Max fazem os
dois se aproximarem e ver o quanto tinham em comum. Nick acaba se sentindo
inseguro e vulnerável e isso o deixa um pouco angustiado, perceber que está se
apaixonando por Tess graças a um amigo que o alerta , faz com que ele pondere
se deve manter o relacionamento com Tess casual ou tentar algo mais sério.
Passei boa parte do livro tentando imaginar
o que iria separar o casal e fiquei em choque ao ver o que causou tudo e toda a
intriga que estava por trás dos problemas de Nick.
Para quem gosta de romances cheios de cenas
hot esta é uma boa pedida.

With this giant synopsis, I had little left
to speak without spoiler, but what I can say is that Nick and Tess surprised me
because under this double facade that would entangle with each other all the
time, It came across a plot of suspense full of sexy scenes.
Tess is trying to start a new life after the betrayal of her french boyfriend. She's the type of girl to judge before she meets, and that's how she made Nick's image in her head, an arrogant manwhore, jerk.
But when she gets to know better this guy, she discovers that the idiot millionaire is actually a gentle and suffering guy who can take care of their godson very affectionate so that friends can finally live their honeymoon.
Slowly, the care of Max makes this two come closer and see how much they have in common. Nick eventually feels insecure and vulnerable and this makes him a bit distressed, realizing that he is falling in love with Tess thanks to a friend who alerts him, makes him ponder whether to keep the relationship with Tess casual or try something more serious.
I spent a good deal of the book trying to figure out what would separate the couple and I was shocked to see what caused everything and all the intrigue behind Nick's problems.
For those who like novels full of hot scenes this is a good request.
