Lili Valente é daquelas escritoras que pego
o livro sem nem ler a sinopse e nunca me arrependo. Este livro para mim foi o
melhor dos que já li dela por vários motivos que vou explicar agora.
Sou apaixonadinha por Brendan há um bom
tempo, esse jeito rapaz sério e responsável misturado com o fato de ser atleta,
capitão do time e ainda com corpo escultural me fez ficar muito ansiosa pela
história dele. Ele é mais velho,viúvo e tem uma filha encantadora.
Laura foi das personagens femininas que
mais gostei de acompanhar,ela é gentil, dedicada à familia, bonita,ruiva cheia
de sardas e está empolgada como o trabalho no time de Brendan,resumindo...apaixonantemente
atraente. Ela é irmã de Libby, protagonista do livro anterior que está com Justin.
Numa noite em que está deprimida por ter
encontrado o namorado vestido com suas roupas intimas acaba percebendo que o
implicante capitão do time pode ser bem mais que um rostinho bonito e sisudo.
Só que o cara a vê como inconsequente e se envolver com uma garota assim é a
útlima coisa que ele precisa. Ele quer uma mãe exemplar assim como foi a mãe de
sua filha e Laura não parece ter maturidade ainda para assumir tanta
responsabilidade.

Valente me conduziu ao mundo de Brendan e Laura, me envolvi, me emocionei e
encontrei uma das declarações de amor mais forte do mundo literário. A história desse casal não só fala sobre
superar a dor da perda e do luto mas mostra tambem como as pessoas podem encontrar
o amor onde menos esperam, como podem superar seus medos e mergulhar no escuro e
como podem aprender a confiar em si mesmos . Brendan é o típico Principe
Encantado e de quebra ainda tem uma filha fofa que conquista de imediato o coração
de Laura e roubou o meu tambem. Ele sabe esperar o tempo de Laura e escreve
cada carta romântica linda....ele é tão lindo amis tão lindo que quero ele para
mim.
Adorei (como sempre) os capítulos onde os
personagens trocam mensagens divertidas de texto ,adoro livros com namoros fake
e adoro quando posso ver mais dos personagens dos livros anteriores e já quero
o livro de Tanner .

Lili Valente is one of those writers who I take
the book without even reading the synopsis and I never regret it. This
book for me was the best I've read of her for several reasons that I'll explain
now.
I've been in love with Brendan for a long time, the fact that this serious and responsible sexy, hot, great man mixed with being an athlete, captain of the team and still with sculptural body made me very anxious about his story. He is older, widower and has a lovely daughter.
Laura was one of the female characters I liked to accompany and cheer, she is gentle, dedicated to family, beautiful, full of freckles and excited as the work on Brendan's team, in resume... passionately attractive sweet girl. She is Libby's sister, protagonist of the previous book that is with Justin. Justin the badboy who stole my heart too.
On a night when Laura is depressed that she has found her boyfriend in her intimate clothes, she realizes that the captain of the team can be more than a pretty and serious face. The problem is that the guy sees her as inconsequential young girl and getting involved with her is the last thing he needs. He wants an exemplary mother just as it was the mother of his daughter and Laura does not seem to have the maturity yet to take such responsibility.
With her engaging and captivating writing Lili Valente led me into the world of Brendan and Laura, I got involved, moved and found one of the strongest love statements in the literary world. The story of this couple not only talks about overcoming the pain of loss and mourning but also shows how people can find love where they least expect it, how they can overcome their fears and delve into the dark and how they can learn to trust in themselves. Brendan is the typical Prince Charming and still has a cute daughter who instantly conquers Laura's heart and stole mine as well. He knows how to wait for Laura's time and writes so many lovely romantic letters…OMG .... he is so beautiful, so beautiful that I want him for me.
I loved (as always) the chapters where the characters exchange fun text messages, I love books with fake dating and I love when I can see more of the characters from the previous books and I already want Tanner's book.
