The first story in a brand-new series, Lake Season invites readers to the Bluebell Inn in a small North Carolina town where a lost letter, a chance for new love, and old secrets beckon.

When their parents die in a tragic accident, Molly Bennett and her siblings pull together to fulfill their parents’ dream of turning their historic Bluebell, North Carolina, home back into an inn. Staying in town would be temporary—three years at most—then they plan to sell the inn, and Molly can get back to chasing her own dreams.

Adam Bradford (aka bestselling author Nathaniel Quinn) is a reclusive novelist with a bad case of writer’s block. Desperate for inspiration as his deadline approaches, he travels to the setting of his next book, a North Carolina lake town. Molly and Adam strike up an instant friendship. When Molly finds a long-lost letter in the walls of her inn, she and Adam embark on a mission to find the star-crossed lovers and bring them the closure they deserve. But Adam has secrets he isn’t ready to share. Past and present collide as truths surface, and Molly and Adam will have to decide if love is worth trusting.

Review

I want to start by saying that Thomas Nelson addicted me to Christian Romances. I want to read every book from them .... LOL

Lake Season became my favorite in the genre this year, first because I loved Denise HUnter's writing and second because the story is so sweet and smooth and made me (after years not doing this) turning the night on reading. I went to sleep at 3 am today so anxious to know how the story of Molly and Adam would end.

Molly is starting a new phase of her life with her siblings, a phase she would prefer to be quite different for sure. By losing their parents in a car accident, they will drop all their plans to put their parents' dream of turning the house into a inn.

The renovation work was great as it helped Molly focus on something other than mourning. Her first guest arrives at a time when they were not yet open but because of the high season she pities him and agrees to help until he can rent a house on the lake.

The He in question is Adam a famous writer who hides under the pseudonym Nathaniel Quinn and who after talking to his mother about a creative block, she suggests he go to the idyllic city of Bluebell. But he didn't know how his life will change after that.

Molly and Adam engage in a beautiful friendship quickly, but their insecurity and her trsut issues can shake what could be a great love. Together they start a project of finding the protagonists from a love letter that she found during the renovation. I confess that sometimes I wanted to go into the book and shake Molly a lot, but in the end she redeems herself wonderfully. Adam in return is so perfectly flawed, so cuddly, so kind and devoted that I almost steal him for me.

This book completely dredged me, I couldn't let go until I saw Happily Ever After happen, and I was amazed at everything that happens until this magical moment really comes. A book about forgiveness, second chances, about finding your strength, about enjoying every moment with people that you love, and about not letting small issues get in the way of happiness.

I already want the books of Molly's siblings, especially Levi, maybe their friends too Skye and Jordan. Please, Denise!

Quero iniciar dizendo que Thomas Nelson está me viciando em romances cristãos. Quero conhecer tudo, quero ler todos.... hehehehe

Lake Season se tornou meu favorito no gênero de 2019, primeiro porque amei a escrita de Denise HUnter e segundo porque a história é tão doce, suave e me fez depois de anos virar a noite lendo. Fui dormir às 3 am de tanta ansiedade para saber como terminaria a história de Molly e Adam.

Molly está começando uma nova fase de sua vida com seus irmãos, uma fase que ela preferia que fosse bem diferente com certeza. Ao perder os pais num acidente de carro, ela e os irmãos vão largar todos os seus planos para colocar em prática o sonho dos pais de transformar a casa em uma pousada.

O trabalho de reforma foi ótimo pois ajudou Molly a focar em algo que não fosse o luto e deu novo ânimo a ela que está com grande sentimento de culpa. Seu primeiro hóspede chega num momento em que eles ainda não estavam abertos mas por conta da alta temporada ela se compadece dele e aceita ajudá-lo até que consiga alugar uma casa no lago.

O Ele em questão é Adam um escritor famoso que se esconder sob o pseudônimo de Nathaniel Quinn e que depois de conversar com a mãe sobre um bloqueio criativo, esta sugere que ele vá para a ídilica cidade de Bluebell e é lá que sua vida vai dar uma revirada.

Molly e Adam engatam uma linda amizade rapidinho mas a insegurança de ambos e a questão de Molly com confiança podem abalar o que poderia ser um grande amor. Juntos eles começam um projeto de encontrar os protagonistas de carta de amor do passado que ela encontrou durante a reforma.Tudo bem que teve horas que quis entrar no livro e sacudir muito Molly, mas no final ela se redime de forma maravilhosa. Adam em compensação é tão perfeitamente imperfeito, tão fofinho, tão gentil e dedicado que quase roubo pra mim.

Este livro me dragou completamente, eu não consegui largar até ver o Felizes Para Sempre acontecer e me surppreendi com tudo o que acontece até este momento mágico realmente surgir. Um livro sobre perdão, superação, segundas chances, sobre aproveitar todos os instantes e sobre não deixar que pequenas questões atrapalhem a felicidade.

Já quero os livros dos irmãos de Molly principalmente Levi.
