Review

Everything Karys knows and understands as World is in Sundara and with her optimism she believes that everything is fine. Taken there since she was little girl, for her her universe is complete if she is with Zakai. Thanks to him, she manages to perform intimate performances for a select audience under the pretext that together they are soul mates interconnected by strong bonds. She is a sweet, naive and beautiful girl who does not know what it is like to live without her other half. Zakai is a serious guy, who accepts the job he is obliged to do because he believes that one day he will be able to pay his debt with the mentor and "protector" Haziq. But he knows that he won't be able to protect Karys's innocence for more time and every day he thinks about how to get out of that prison.

Suddenly the whole dynamic of this couple changes, they are rescued from Sundara and taken to the United States where what Zakai believed to be the place of freedom only shows prejudice and another cruel side of humanity. Gradually, Zakai turns away from Karys believing to be the best for her, but the sweet girl doesn't want to face this new and unknown world alone without her guiding star and insists on keeping in touch with him until the day they become strangers to each other and each one goes their own way.

Could the love they had died or is it just hidden beneath barriers that they both erected in order to survive?

That is what we will discover in the new romance by Mia Sheridan and with the special participation of a certain beautiful and cute and lovely and great character.

Karys is a great example of strength, determination and resilience. She manages to move on, graduate and still find her place in the world without having to depend on Zakai, something she never thought to achieve. I fell in love with her every page read. Despite being a story with the happy ending typical of Mia Sheridan, for me this was a book about Karys and how she moves on in a seemingly good society but one that is capable of many atrocities.

I loved too much to accompany Karys' maturing journey, it was exciting to see her bloom and achieve what she wanted, the only thing that made me a little sad was that I expected another more firm attitude as to the resolution of her love story and for me she should have made him wait a little longer. Oh my! I can't say too much.

Tudo o que Karys conhece e entende como Mundo está em Sundara e com seu ar otimista acredita que está bom assim. Levada para lá desde pequena, para ela seu universo está completo se ela está perto de Zakai. Graças a ele, ela consegue fazer perfomances íntimas para uma plateia seleta sob o pretexto de que juntos são almas gêmeas interligadas por fortes laços. Ela é uma garota doce, ingênua e otimista que não sabe o que é viver sem sua outra metade. Ele é um rapaz sério, que aceita o trabalho que é obrigado a fazer por acreditar que um dia vai conseguir pagar sua dívida com o mentor e pseudo protetor Haziq. Mas ele sabe que não conseguirá proteger a inocência de Karys por muito tempo e a cada dia se angustia pensando em uma forma de sair daquele prisão.

De repente toda a dinâmica deste casal muda, eles são resgatados de Sundara e levados para os Estados Unidos onde o que Zakai acreditou ser o lugar da liberdade apenas mostra o preconceito e mais um lado cruel da humanidade. Aos poucos, Zakai se afasta de Karys acreditando ser o melhor para ela, mas a doce menina não quer enfrentar esse novo e desconhecido mundo sozinha sem sua estrela guia e insiste em manter contato com ele até o dia que se tornam estranhos um para o outro e cada um segue seu caminho.

Será que o amor que eles tinham morreu ou está apenas escondido por baixo de barreiras que ambos ergueram para conseguir sobreviver?

É isso que vamos descobrir no novo romance de MIa Sheridan e com participação especial de um certo lindo e fofo personagem seu.

Karys é um grande exemplo de força, garra e resiliência. Ela consegue seguir em frente ,se formar e ainda encontrar seu lugar no mundo sem precisar depender de Zakai,algo que ela nunca imaginou conseguir. Me apaixonei por ela a cada página lida. Apesar de ser um romance com o final feliz típico de Mia Sheridan, para mim esse foi um livro sobre Karys e sua volta por cima vivendo numasociedade aparentemente boa mas que é capaz de muitas atrocidades.

Amei demais acompanhar a jornada de amadurecimento de Karys, foi emocionante vê-la florescer e conquistar o que queria, única coisa que me deixou meio triste foi que esperava uma outra atitude mais firme quanto a resolução do romance em si e para mim ela devia ter feito ele esperar um pouco mais. Não posso falar muito para não soltar spoiler.
